Mr. & Mrs.Halloween

Frank is chocolate cake & the Mrs. is vanilla cake.
Both iced in buttercream & ready for the holiday!!!!

Jack-o-Lantern Cookies

Working on a new recipe. These cookies definitely had a cocoa taste.
Sandwich cookies that were much cooler that the well-known version.

Under Construction!!!

A boy's dream come true. Day of the Dozer made quite an impression,
thus the birthday cake of the dozer. This one is vanilla strawberry swirl
cake with the extra added goodness of brownie bites for edible dirt!!!!

I LOVE it when friends have "interesting" ideas for their cakes. This was a fun one to do!!!!
Apparently mustaches seem to the "in" thing. Who knew? I'm always the last to know!!!
(All is totally edible).
This was a tough request. Why, you ask??? Because I know absolutely nothing about
Harry Potter!!! Instead of just winging it, the idea for this cake was usurped from the internet!!!!
Anniversary cake. Bottom layer is Orange Dreamcicle & the top layer is vanilla.
Congrats on all of the years together!!!

Hot Wheels Obsessed

My youngest loves cars. Hot Wheels seem To be the ideal theme for this year's birthday.
Can't make a Hot Wheel go without tires. (All 3 tiers are chocolate...a family favorite!!!)

Hello Kitty

8" Rainbowlicious cake for a sweet little girl.
"Hello Kitty" is, of course,  100% edible!

Sweets for a Sweetie

What kind of cake do you make for a family member that loves her sweets????
....a sweet one, of course. She LOVES chocolate, so the bottom 2 tiers are just that- Chocolate. The "cupcake" tier is cotton candy cake (blue & pink swirls too), and the ice cream cone is a cake truffle!

Hot Dogs & American Flags

Who could have a 4th of July celebration without hot dogs?!?!? At least no one argued about what topping they wanted!

Saw the 3D flag cookies online and had to make some for my crew. I think just the little stars would have worked just as well. The kids loved the small size of them!

The bottom photo shows our cake truffle tray. (Flavors were decadent white & fudgy chocolate)

Sweetness for the 4th

Yes, I know I'm a little early. (The 4th of July holiday sneaks up on me, and there's always
so much going on with the kids!) Wanted to try a little something different. These are chocolate
(white) dipped strawberries with a little extra bling!!! Let's just say......they didn't last long!

Dressed for Success (Father's Day)

Back in the day, when my father had to "dress up" for work, he
always opted for a bow tie. In honor of him, I made these shirt & tie
cookies. Naturally, I threw in some neck ties as well as bow ties.
Happy Father's Day to all!!!

Bachelorette Party - woo hoo!

A friend needed a lingerie cake for her bachelorette party. This is what we came up with. (Can't think of much more to say that is safe!!!!) Totally iced in buttercream with a couple of fondant accents.

In honor of this cake, I decided to make some cookies that complemented it.

Puppy dog pawprint "cake"

We celebrated our dog's 15th birthday on Cinco de Mayo. Usually I do something with a Mexican theme, but not this year. This "cake" was made of Reese cereal and topped with chocolate accents. Not to worry, our dog did not get any of the chocolate, but he definitely enjoyed the cereal puff!!!

Blue Car Crazy

My father is absolutely crazy for a blue vehicle. He just loves that new electric blue color all of the car companies seem to have come out with. Sooooo, this year he got one for his birthday. Not one to drive, but one to eat..... with ice cream! His cake! It was a vanilla cake that was colored in various shades of blue, almost camouflage looking.

My Little Pony (rainbow)

Some children like the sculpted cakes. Then there are those that like any kind of cake with a toy on them. This is the case with this cake. In order to spice things up, the "smash" cake was my favorite rainbowlicious design. (Didn't get a good pic, but this will give you an idea!)

(My phone doesn't like me very well when it comes to the camera!)

Decorated Easter Cookies

Another fun-filled holiday at my house. This year I made "Peep" cookies for the school party, with twin versions for the kids at home. We also had carrots & of course, sheep! For our Easter table center piece we had a bunny cake. What could be better than diving into a barrel of M&M's?...not much......except every serving slice also had a Kit Kat wedge!!!! We are definitely bouncing off the walls here.

April Fool's Dinner

My kids LOVE April Fool's Day. This year, with the holiday falling on a Sunday, it was easier to "get 'em"!  They didn't realize it was April yet. I found the perfect joke to play on them by searching the internet. My kids would never eat chicken that they could see bones in it, thus a bucket of KFC fried chicken (rice crispy cereal treats with bran flakes & pretzel rod bones). We also had corn on the cob (Twinkies) & baked beans (sugar babies). These baked beans received lots of laughs about not causing gas. My reply....."they make cause cavities instead!" Enjoy.

Anniversary with a little "Bling"

If you don't wear the "bling" on your finger, where should it be? Why, on the cake, of course!!! My parents celebrated their anniversary with this "blingy" 3 tier cake. Flavors of the layers were Cinnamon Roll, Strawberry Swirl and Chocolate Chip.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Oh what a "lucky" day my kids had! We had tons of green goodies. There were cupcakes, cake truffles, rainbow sugar cookies, Lucky Charms, Grasshopper cake, chocolate covered oreos, green snowballs & beer (Root Beer, of course)!!! So what are you to do with kids after a sugar high....lots of playing outside!!!!

Margarita anyone?

This cake was for a margarita lover. The surprise party was for a gal turning 40 who also loves Jimmy Buffet. What could be more fitting? Top tier is red velvet & the bottom tier is Devilish Chocolate.

Take it to the Hoop!

In celebration of our last basketball game of the season, I had to make these.
I love the backboard and hoop cookies. The basketballs are even textured. (Thanks to Callye for the idea!)

Ladybug cookies (revisited)

There's always someone that has to be different! One family member has a favorite icing.....it's called a glaze. For that reason, I had to make more ladybug cookies for Valentine's Day, but with a different icing. They're not decorated quite the same either!

Valentine Heart Cookies (in disguise!)

One of my children absolutely loves dinosaurs, so these were a hit!

.
.... another likes ladybugs.
....and another loves music!!!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY everyone!!!

A "rainbowlicious" birthday happened at our house this week. MINE!!! The kids love the inside of the bee hive, with bright rainbow colors. The cupcakes were chocolate fudge.

Church Retirement

This cake was for a couple that had devoted many years to their church, thus the Bible. The wife handled the church finances for 20 years............thus the money bag!!! The entire thing is edible; the bible is cake, money is made of chocolate and the money bag is covered in fondant.
