What kind of cake do you make for a family member that loves her sweets????
....a sweet one, of course. She LOVES chocolate, so the bottom 2 tiers are just that- Chocolate. The "cupcake" tier is cotton candy cake (blue & pink swirls too), and the ice cream cone is a cake truffle!
Who could have a 4th of July celebration without hot dogs?!?!? At least no one argued about what topping they wanted!
Saw the 3D flag cookies online and had to make some for my crew. I think just the little stars would have worked just as well. The kids loved the small size of them!
The bottom photo shows our cake truffle tray. (Flavors were decadent white & fudgy chocolate)
A friend needed a lingerie cake for her bachelorette party. This is what we came up with. (Can't think of much more to say that is safe!!!!) Totally iced in buttercream with a couple of fondant accents.
In honor of this cake, I decided to make some cookies that complemented it.
We celebrated our dog's 15th birthday on Cinco de Mayo. Usually I do something with a Mexican theme, but not this year. This "cake" was made of Reese cereal and topped with chocolate accents. Not to worry, our dog did not get any of the chocolate, but he definitely enjoyed the cereal puff!!!
I'm a busy mom of three. After my youngest was born, I decided I'd like to learn the "art of cake". Instead of buying a birthday cake for my children at the store, I started created memories for them by making their cakes.
With more and more shows on TV about cakes, many new techniques have been created and shared with the world. I hope you enjoy seeing some of the techniques I have learned and used in creating tasty creations for family and friends.
