While the cat's away.....

This cake was in honor of our "kitten's" 3rd birthday. Hey....you can
always find an excuse for cake!!!! This one was banana
cream with a chocolate fudge filling.

Purse & make-up

This cake was for a young lady interested in make-up. The "cosmetics" are made of chocolate. Her favorite color is pink, but she wanted the purse to be red!!! (It's a woman's perogative!)

Astronaut on the Moon

Every year on July 20th, my mother reminds us all that they picked her birthday to walk on the moon. At last, the perfect birthday cake for her came to mind.

The decorated cookies were a big hit, too. (Mom turned the big "66" in case you were unsure of what the blue swirl cookie was about!!!!)

4th of July cookies

I had a "little helper" in the kitchen for our 4th of July cookies this year. My youngest (5 years old) wanted to help out. I think he did a great job. The cookies pictured at the top were inspired by those on the cover of the Martha Stewart magazine.

TV Dinner

What better way to celebrate Father's Day than with a TV dinner. This one had chicken drumsticks, mashed potatoes & gravy, peas & carrots & chocolate cake!!! (All were cupcakes decorated with edible items).

Dog Theme Cookies

These were perfect for the vet's receptionist. She is always very helpful, and it was our little way of saying "thanks for all you do"!!! (Of course the dogs are pugs, what else?!!)

The Cat's Meow

Yes, the kitty cake has been revisited. My uncle has always had cats for as long as I can remember. This time, instead of giving one a home, he got one as his birthday cake. He was quite surprised! (It was hard to keep the kids from eating a toe before we got it delivered.....80 miles away!!!)
