Christmas Cookie Assortment

Here's a few of the cookies we gave to friends & family at
Christmastime. The kids had a hard time choosing their favorite design.

Topsy Turvy Birthday

For the Big 4-0, I made myself a special cake. Yes, another one I wanted to try. This was naturally decked out in my favorite color.....PURPLE!!!  Original design may look familiar to some of you. It's by The Pink Cakebox. Mine was covered in buttercream with fondant accents (with the exception of the middle tier). (Theirs is totally covered in fondant - a smarter way to go!!!)

Birthday Upside Down Cake

Saw this design done as a wedding cake and I had to try it. So.... who better to be the recipient but myself. That's right, this was my birthday cake. (We had cake forever!) Each layer was a different flavor; Top layer- strawberry swirl, Middle layer- Andes Dream (chocolate mint) and the Bottom layer - Orange Dreamcicle. All layers were iced in buttercream with fondant accents.

The Cat's Meow

This cake was in celebration of our kitten's 2nd birthday. This "puppy" (pardon the expression) was gone in a flash.

Chinese Take-Out

This Father's Day cake was an Orange Dreamcicle cake iced in buttercream and then covered with fondant panels. The "noodles" are strictly icing, of course! There were no problems getting the kids to eat their vegetables with this one!

100% Pure Chocolate!

My father is not one for birthday celebrations. However, when presented with his own version of a "quarter pounder", he was lovin' it!!! The chocolate cake was served with a side of sugar cookie "fries".

Fit for a Princess

This pillow cake was made for a little "princess". She wish was a cake with a shoe. What she received was a fondant tiara (that all of the girls fought for a piece of) on a pillow cake. It was presented with the perfect slipper made of chocolate.

The perfect turkey for the vegetarian you know and love

With a vegetarian in the family, we turned to the assistance of my Kitchen Aid mixer to whip up the turkey. This cake was totally edible (with the exception of the white paper frills on the tips of the "drumsticks").

Spooky Cookies!

Some treats for the kids' schoolmates at their Halloween parties. Got some new cutters, so I kind of went with a "witchy" theme!!! My youngest wanted a ghost holding a banner, so he was added to the mix of things.

A Nascar Driver

My little guy wanted a "Nascar" cake. I thought I had it figured out. I would carve a cake in the shape of a race car & decorate with the stripes (, numbers and ads. Then he, of course, added that he wanted a bunch of cars on his "Nascar" cake. This was what I came up with. He loved it, (which was the idea, after all)!!!

For the Ocean Lover

My son asked for a "dolphin" cake. Later, he added that he would also like some other creatures as well. He received a 2-tier chocolate cake with Cookies 'n Cream filling. It was iced with buttercream and had numerous fondant accents!

A cake for the Bakugan fan you know

A simple square cake covered in buttercream. The fondant Bakugan on top, however, was not so simple!!! An edible image completes the theme.
